Jeff Herring’s inspiring story of change and ultimate success is a timely example for all of us to follow. Although I can’t tell her story like she does, my goal is to help spread her inspirational message. I think her inspiring story is an example for all of us to follow in these turbulent times on earth.

About three years ago, Jeff Herring was in a completely different situation. He was going through a divorce and his wife and kids had moved to Atlanta, several hundred miles from where he had a thriving marriage and family counseling practice in Tallahassee, Florida. Every weekend to be with her two children, she drove a thousand miles while closing her practice in Tallahassee and establishing a new livelihood in Atlanta.

On Christmas Eve two years ago, she found herself with enough money to buy herself a cheap motel for the night in Atlanta or to spend on her children on Christmas Day. He chose to sleep in his van and hang out in motel lounges where he usually stayed. Around one in the morning, while working on his laptop in the lounge, he received an email from a friend wishing him a Merry Christmas. Jeff knew this email had a message for him. Over the next two years, Jeff continued to learn as much as he could about article marketing and worked on his new business every day. Like it or not, he writes an article every day. Where he used to drive a thousand miles every weekend, he now enjoys a commute of about seventeen seconds—the time it takes to walk from his bedroom to his office. It’s not enough to look at the steps, we must climb the ladder.”
