Cero partners with a teenage girl who calls this colony home. Prid’s relatable character is inquisitive and industrious while helping Sero in his exploration of life in the colony and adding humor to the harsh and dangerous situation – a good contrast to his journey of personal growth through the grief of loss and resilience.

Lessons about science fiction, humanity, society, ethics as well as the consequences of disrupting the natural balance of the environment are evident. Throughout the adventure, every action experiences an equal and opposite reaction, though it takes a while.

Author Matt Tyson wrote this dystopian adventure while working with a volunteer program in Africa while his family now lives in South Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics and a master’s degree in bioinformatics from the University of Liverpool in England, and this novel has a convincing and detailed scientific background on how future societies might come together.
